My meeting recording is not synced with my CRM

Depending on your Claap configuration, you may have automated sync in place with your CRM, which will automatically link your recording with a Deal, Company, and Contacts from your CRM, and attach a meeting summary as a note in the corresponding CRM objects. This is typically done automatically as the meeting recording is being processed.

However some meeting recordings may not be synced automatically, and may require you to manually sync with your CRM from the recording page. Here are possible reasons:

Reasons why a CRM sync will not be done automatically

The meeting recording is private

For security and privacy reasons, meeting recordings which are private will not by synced with your CRM to avoid pushing private data to publicly accessible objects in your CRM. A private meeting recording is one that has a "No Access" permission for workspace members, either specified in the meeting recording directly or because its channel has "No Access" permissions.

In this case, you can decide to manually sync your meeting recording by clicking on the CRM sync button.

The meeting does not have external participants

In order to sync a meeting recording with your CRM, we need to map the company and contacts who were in the meeting to your CRM entities. To do so there needs to be at least one "external" contact participating in the meeting (i.e. someone that is not a workspace member and does not have an email from your workspace domain).

For various reasons the meeting might be external in reality but perhaps not detected as such. This can happen when, for example, an external participant might not have their email populated, in which case Claap won't know that the participant is external nor will be able to map them to any CRM entity.

When this happens, you can always manually add or edit a participant in the recording and manually sync your meeting recording by clicking on the CRM sync button.
