Workspace admins can set how long recordings are kept before they are automatically and permanently deleted. This helps organizations comply with privacy and data retention policies.
Configure the recording retention period
Go to Workspace settings > Security
Find the "Set recording retention period" dropdown
Select your preferred retention period:
6 months
1 year
2 years
3 years
Indefinite (recordings are kept forever)
Upon selection of the desired option, a confirmation popup will be displayed. Click on Continue to apply your settings immediately, or Cancel to dismiss the changes.
โ ๏ธ When you select a shorter retention period than the current setting, any recordings older than the new limit will be permanently deleted. As this can have immediate and irrecoverable effect, you will be shown a confirmation dialog showing exactly how many recordings will be affected before the change takes effect:
How it works:
Recordings are automatically deleted once they exceed the retention period
Recordings are permanently deleted. They are not moved to Trash and therefore cannot be recovered.
Deletion happens daily and is irreversible
The retention period is based on when the recording was created
Changing to a longer retention period (or to Indefinite) will not affect any existing recordings
