One of the first things Claap recommends during setup is connecting your calendar.
If your team already works with a CRM, you'll also have the option to connect it.
These integrations aren't there to complicate your workflow.
They're there to simplify it.
Why connect my calendar?
Your calendar tells Claap when your meetings are happening.
With this information, Claap can:
recognize your upcoming meetings
organize your conversations automatically
reduce manual work before every meeting
provide the smoothest recording experience
Without a connected calendar, you can still use Claap but some workflows become more manual.
Why connect my CRM?
Your CRM already contains your customer relationships.
Connecting it allows Claap to keep your conversations connected with the rest of your customer journey.
Instead of copying information between tools after every meeting, your conversations stay connected to where your team already works.
The exact experience depends on the CRM you're using, but the goal is always the same:
Spend less time on administration.
Spend more time with customers.
Is a CRM required?
Not at all. Many teams use Claap without connecting a CRM.
If you don't have one or don't need one yet, you can safely skip this step and come back later.
You can always connect these later
Don't let setup become a blocker.
Many teams connect their calendar immediately, record a few meetings, then connect their CRM once everyone is comfortable using Claap.
That's a perfectly good way to get started.
