AI Fields are a clearer, more powerful way to turn your meetings into structured data. Each AI Field answers one question about a recording, "What's the main pain point?", "Was a competitor mentioned?", "What's the next step?", and fills in that answer automatically.
Reps stop digging through transcripts, and managers get structured data they can actually report on.
This article covers what's available today: creating AI Fields, running them automatically on new meetings, syncing their output to your CRM, and the new AI Credits.
What's live now vs. what's coming. AI Fields are live and work alongside your existing Insights templates. Your current Insights are not migrated yet, that happens automatically around June 15, with no data loss. You can start creating AI Fields right away. Deal and Company AI Fields are also coming later in June.
What you can do today
Create AI Fields directly in your tables, full create, edit, and archive.
Auto-run a field so it generates on every new meeting, hands-off.
Sync a field's output to your CRM.
See your AI Credits usage in the app.
In the Insights tab, picking a template is being replaced by adding an AI Field (the new button is already there).
Creating an AI Field
In any Meeting view (smart table), the Add AI Field action replaces the old template picker.
Open a Meeting view and click Add AI Field (or Add column).
Create from scratch, or pick a ready-made template (Action items, Customer Needs, Customer pain points, Deal timing, Champion, Budget, Decision, and more).
Choose the field Type : for example Bullet points, List, Paragraph, or Checkbox.
Write the Prompt : the question you want answered for every meeting.
(List-type fields) Optionally toggle Add timestamps on each item for a timestamp next to each entry.
(Optional) Map the field to a CRM Field to sync its output (see below).
Click Create AI field.
You stay in full control: AI Fields can be edited or archived at any time.
Testing and generating
Testing a field on a few recordings is free, refine your prompt before rolling it out.
When you're happy, generate the field on all rows, or on empty rows only.
Auto-run on new meetings
Each AI Field has an auto-run toggle. Turn it on and the field is generated automatically on every new meeting, no manual "generate" step. Combined with CRM sync, your records stay structured and up to date on their own.
Syncing to your CRM
Map an AI Field to a CRM field and its generated value is pushed to your CRM automatically (for example, Send to HubSpot). Fields can map to the relevant CRM object, and you'll see the value sync after it's generated.
Where to see AI Field values
In a Meeting view (smart table): each AI Field appears as a column, filled in per meeting.
In a recording → Insights tab: generated AI Field values are shown, grouped by view.
AI Credits
AI Fields come with AI Credits: each plan includes a monthly credit pool shared across your whole workspace.
Free: testing a field, summaries, the AI companion, and chapters.
1 credit each: running a field, Claap AI chat, AI follow-ups, and the Coaching tab.
Your credit usage is now displayed in the app. Limits are not enforced yet, enforcement begins with the mid-June migration. Until then, nothing is blocked.
Permissions (admins)
By default, anyone can create and share AI Fields and views.
Admins can restrict who can create AI Fields and who can share them, from settings.
Admins also get an AI columns management page to list, search, share, archive, and restore fields.
Private vs. shared fields: a rep can experiment with a field in their own view, while admins keep a single governed source of truth that feeds automations, reports, and dashboards.
