Decide in one question
Are you asking this once, or on every meeting from now on?
Once, or you are still exploring: ClaapAgent.
Every meeting, and you want to compare, filter, or send the answer to your CRM: AI Fields.
ClaapAgent answers a question. AI Fields produce a data point.
Find your use case
Use ClaapAgent
Your use case | Why ClaapAgent |
Prepare for a call with an account you don't know well | Set the scope to that deal or company and ask what has been discussed so far |
Understand everything said across all meetings with one customer | It reads across every recording you have access to, no setup needed |
Look for a trend you have not defined yet: recurring themes, emerging objections | You can rephrase and dig with follow-up questions until the picture is clear |
Check the follow-up tasks from one specific project or folder | Use @mentions to point at a recording, folder, deal, person, or company |
Verify a claim and hear it for yourself | Answers cite their sources, and clicking one jumps to that moment in the call |
Compare two periods or two accounts in one go | Ask for the comparison directly, for example how Q4 goals compare to Q3 |
Capture a useful answer inside a recording | From within a recording, Add to Meeting Notes saves the answer into the Overview |
Use AI Fields
Your use case | Why AI Fields |
Track the same criterion on every call: pain point, budget, champion, next steps | The prompt is defined once and applied to every meeting the same way |
Find all the calls where a competitor came up, or where satisfaction was low | Generated values become filters in your Meeting Views |
Compare accounts or reps on identical criteria | Every meeting is a row, every criterion a column, so comparison is direct |
Keep your CRM up to date without post-call admin | Connect the field to a CRM property and Claap syncs the answer |
Give your team one shared definition of a criterion | Share the field with the workspace so everyone works from the same source of truth |
Monitor a topic going forward, for example every AI-related need raised by customers | Switch on Auto-run on New Meetings and each new call fills the column on its own |
Build weekly or monthly reporting | Columns can be sorted, filtered, and read at a glance without opening recordings |
Roll out a qualification framework | Start from a template such as Budget, Champion, Decision Criteria, or Critical Event |
Picking the right field type
An AI Field is only as useful as the format of its answer. Choose the Type according to how you will use the column:
Checkbox for yes/no questions, which is what makes clean filtering possible.
Select when one option comes from a fixed list, and Multi-select when several can apply.
Numeric for amounts and quantities, Date for deadlines, Rating for scores.
Paragraph or Bullet Points when you need to read the detail rather than filter on it.
Action List for next steps you want to track and tick off.
A yes/no question stored as free text cannot be filtered reliably, so it is worth getting this right when you create the field.
Use them in sequence
The most effective pattern uses both:
Ask ClaapAgent to explore the question, on one account or across your workspace.
Notice what you keep asking. Anything you ask repeatedly is a candidate for a field.
Create the AI Field. In Meetings, click Add Column, then Add new AI field, and write your criterion as a prompt.
Test it. Testing is free, so refine the prompt until the answers are reliable.
Switch on Auto-run and share the field so it keeps working for the whole team.
From then on, the question answers itself before you think to ask it.
A note on AI credits
Both features draw on the same monthly pool of credits, shared across your workspace.
Free: testing an AI Field, meeting summaries, the AI companion, chapters.
1 credit each: running an AI Field, a Claap AI chat message, AI follow-ups, the Coaching tab.
Neither option is the cheap one, so choose on fit rather than cost. One thing to keep in mind: a field with Auto-run runs on every new meeting, so five auto fields means five credits per meeting. Keep on Auto-run what you truly need on every call, and run the rest manually. Your usage is visible in the app at any time.
