Signing up and logging into the Claap mobile app

Written by Enzo Soverini

Welcome to the Claap app ! This guide walks you through creating your account and logging into the Claap mobile app on iOS or Android. Claap is built to work best with your professional workflow, so we recommend signing up with your work email and calendar to unlock the full experience.

Sign-up options

When you first open the Claap mobile app, you'll see three ways to get started:

  • Sign up with Google : Use your Google or Gmail account to create your Claap account in one tap. This is the fastest option if your work email is hosted on Google Workspace.

  • Log in with Outlook : Use your Microsoft 365 or Outlook account. Recommended if your company runs on Microsoft.

  • Sign up with SSO : Use your company's Single Sign-On provider. Choose this option if your IT team has set up SSO for Claap.

Before you can continue, you'll need to tick the checkbox to agree to Claap's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

If you already have a Claap account, tap Log in at the bottom of the screen instead of signing up.

Why we recommend a work email

Claap connects to your calendar to surface your upcoming meetings, link your notes to the right events, and help you share recaps with your teammates. To get the full experience, we strongly recommend signing up with the email address you use for work.

If you sign up with a personal Gmail or Outlook account, you'll see a screen titled "Much better with your work email" explaining that:

  • Your meetings won't appear in Claap if your calendar isn't your work calendar.

  • You won't be able to easily connect your notes to scheduled meetings.

  • Sharing notes with teammates becomes harder if they're on a different domain.

From this screen you have two choices:

  • Sign up with work email : Recommended. Tap this to switch to your professional email address.

  • Continue anyway : Tap this if you really want to use your personal account. You can still take notes manually, but most calendar-based features will be limited.

Linking your work email and calendar

After choosing the work-email path, you'll be prompted to Sign in with your work email. A preview of the My meetings screen shows what your home will look like once your calendar is connected: upcoming meetings (Demo call, Quarterly review, Weekly sales sync, etc.) appear at the top, followed by today's earlier sessions.

Tap Continue to authorize Claap to read your calendar. This permission is what allows the app to:

  • List your upcoming and past meetings on the home screen.

  • Automatically attach your notes to the correct meeting.

  • Pull in attendee information so you can share recaps with one tap.
