By the end of this article, you’ll know how to navigate the Contacts page, filter contacts, create new contacts, and edit existing contact information in Claap.
Open the Contacts Page
| To access your Contacts repository:
Opening Contacts from the sidebar gives you access to your full contact database every person Claap has captured across your meetings. |
The Contacts page displays every person captured across your meetings and workspace activity.
Understand the Contacts Tabs
At the top of the Contacts page, you can switch between three tabs.
All Contacts : Displays every contact in your workspace.
Internal Contacts : Displays people associated with your organization or workspace domain.
External Contacts : Displays people outside your organization.
This helps you quickly focus on customer and prospect relationships.
Understand the Contacts Table
The Contacts table displays the following information for each person.
Column | Description |
Name | Contact’s full name |
Contact email address | |
Company | Associated organization |
Add a New Contact
To manually create a contact:
Open the Contacts page
Click the [+] button
Enter the contact’s:
Name
Email address
Click [Create Contact]
The contact is immediately added to your repository.
Contact email uniqueness
Each contact must use a unique email address.
If the email already exists in your workspace:
Claap displays an error message
The contact is not created
This prevents duplicate contact entries.
Edit an Existing Contact
To update a contact:
Locate the contact in the Contacts table
Click the [⋯] menu on the right side of the row
Select [Edit Contact]
Update the contact information
Click [Update Contact]
Verify: After clicking [Update Contact], the contact's name in the Contacts list should reflect your change immediately.
Your changes are applied immediately.
Empty States
If no contacts exist in a tab, Claap displays an empty state with:
contextual messaging
an explanation of the current state
a CTA to create a new contact
Clicking [Add Contact] opens the contact creation modal.
