Meeting Views: your Insight Templates, reimagined

Written by Enzo Soverini

If you used Insight Templates to group your AI analysis into meaningful sets (by deal stage, framework, or team), this guide is for you.

The most important thing first: your templates were not deleted. They have become Meeting Views, which do everything templates did (grouping your AI Fields into reusable sets) and add filtering, saved layouts, and reporting on top. Your fields, your custom prompts, and your historical values are all preserved. This guide shows you how to get your exact workflow back, in a few clicks.

The new model, in two words

Everything now revolves around two simple building blocks:

  • AI Field = one piece of analysis applied to a meeting (for example "Situation", "Pain", "BANT: Budget"). It has its own prompt, and it shows up both as a column in the table and in the meeting's Insights tab.

  • Meeting View = a saved set of AI Fields, with filters and a layout you choose. This is the replacement for an Insight Template.

So the mapping is straightforward:

  • Your old Insight Template is now a Meeting View.

  • Each insight inside it is now an AI Field.

A view like "Intro calls (BANT)" groups exactly the fields you want, applied to exactly the meetings you want. That is your template, just more powerful.

Where to find everything now

Your analysis has moved from Folders to the Meetings section (left menu).

  • Your migrated templates appear as Views, shown as tabs at the top of the Meetings table.

  • Your AI Fields are the columns inside each view.

  • Your custom prompts are not lost. Click a column header, then "Edit AI field" to see and adjust the exact prompt you had refined.

Recreate (or reuse) a "set" as a View

To rebuild the equivalent of an Insight Template:

  1. Go to Meetings and open a view, or create a new one with the "+" next to the view tabs.

  2. Click Add Column, then Add New AI field (or reuse an AI Field you already have).

  3. Add each field you want in the set (for example your BANT or MEDDIC criteria).

  4. Arrange the columns in the order you like.

  5. Add filters if needed (for example Meeting Type = Discovery, or Folder = Sales meetings).

  6. Click Save for everyone so the whole team gets the same view.

You have just rebuilt your template as a view, and you will not have to pick those fields one by one again.

See your AI Fields on each meeting (not just in the table)

Prefer to read the analysis on the meeting itself rather than in a table? That still works.

Open any recording and go to the Insights tab: your AI Fields are displayed there, meeting by meeting, in a page view. The table and the Insights tab are simply two ways of looking at the same AI Fields, so whatever you set up in a view is available on each recording.

Apply your analysis automatically (new and existing meetings)

  • For future meetings: turn on Auto-run so your AI Fields are generated automatically after each call, with nothing to click.

  • For your existing meetings: select the recordings, then Bulk edit and Complete X recordings (or click the wand in a column header) to generate the fields retroactively. You are never limited to new calls.

  • By team or folder: you can route the right fields to the right meetings automatically using automations, so each team sees the analysis that matters to them without setting it up by hand.

Push your insights to HubSpot or Salesforce

AI Fields can sync to your CRM, so the analysis lands directly on the right record. Sync is configurable: you decide which fields map to which CRM property, and whether the push happens automatically or not.

What is now possible that was not before

Because your analysis lives in views, you can filter, group, and compare meetings on any AI Field. You can also ask Claap AI to work across an entire view, and the same is available through MCP: instead of querying one template at a time, you can pull a whole view (for example a "SPICED Scoring" view) and turn it into a scorecard, a dashboard, or a report in seconds.

Quick answers to common questions

  • Were my Insight Templates deleted? No. They were migrated to Meeting Views. Nothing was lost.

  • Are my custom prompts gone? No. They are preserved on each AI Field. Open the column header and "Edit AI field" to see them.

  • Do I have to pick AI Fields one by one every time? No. That is exactly what saving a Meeting View avoids: the set is saved and reusable.

  • Can I still see the fields on a recording page? Yes, in the Insights tab of each meeting.

  • Can I set defaults for a folder or team? Yes, through automations, so the right fields apply automatically.

  • Where did my historical data go? It is preserved and available in your migrated views.
