One difference worth noting: Granola is a notepad rather than a recorder, so notes and transcripts come across without recordings. Everything else brings the audio or video with it.

What to prepare before you start
Migration is a project rather than a button, and the volume is what determines how it runs. A few hundred calls and several thousand are not the same job at all, so it is better to scope it properly than to start and stall halfway.
Three things worth having ready when you talk to us:
Your volume. An approximate number of calls is enough, along with their typical length.
The period you want. Often you only need history from a certain date rather than everything, and a shorter range means a faster migration.
Which users. Recordings are attached to an author on our side, so we need to know who owns what, especially if some of the original users have left.
Once it is done
Your imported calls behave like any other recording in Claap. They are searchable, they appear in your Views, and they can be analysed with AI Fields, which means your history becomes usable rather than just archived. If you have been running the same discovery questions for two years, you can now ask them of two years of calls at once.
Frequently asked
Do imported calls consume my quota? Ask us when scoping, this depends on your plan and your volume.
Can I migrate in stages? Yes, and for large histories it is often the sensible approach. Start with the most recent period and extend once you are satisfied with the result.
What if I am still using the other tool? That is fine. Migration copies your data, it does not require you to shut anything down first.
