Sales reps carry the detail of their deals in their heads and in notes written between two calls. On a multi threaded deal running over several weeks, that detail is what decides whether the follow up lands.
Claap records your customer meetings, produces the recap, and extracts the information your team agreed to track. The deal stays documented without you writing it up.
What Claap can help you achieve
Run the meeting instead of taking notes
Your calls are recorded, transcribed and summarised automatically. You can look at your prospect rather than at your keyboard, and still have the detail afterwards.
Keep your CRM current without the admin
Meeting summaries, insights and recording links are added to the right contact, company or deal in your CRM.
Claap integrates with:
Follow up the same day, in their words
The recap gives you what was discussed, what was agreed and what comes next. Your follow up quotes the prospect rather than paraphrasing them from memory.
Keep the whole deal legible
With AI Fields, the same questions are answered on every call of the deal: next step agreed, budget discussed, competitor mentioned, who is involved in the decision, objection raised.
Before a second or third meeting you reread four answers instead of a full transcript.
Bring stakeholders in without another meeting
You can share a recording, or the moment that matters inside it, with someone who has no Claap account. Useful for a decision maker who never joins the calls. See Collaboration with visitors.
The must-have setup
1. Connect your calendar
Connect your calendar so Claap identifies your upcoming meetings and records the right conversations.
2. Connect your CRM
Connect your CRM so each meeting is associated with the right contact, company and deal.
3. Set your meeting preferences
Choose which meetings are recorded, and who receives the recap once the call is over.
4. Set up the AI Fields your team works with
Use the questions you are already asked in pipeline review. If your team has agreed on a set of shared fields, use those rather than your own, so your deals can be compared with everyone else's.
See Using AI Fields.
Best practices for Sales teams
Say at the start of the call that it is being recorded. It takes five seconds and it sets the right tone for what follows.
Send the recap the same day. The value of a follow up drops quickly after the meeting.
Reread your AI Fields before a follow up call, not the full transcript. Four answers are usually enough to prepare.
Share a timestamped moment rather than a full recording when you loop in a colleague. They will actually watch it.
Keep your deal calls visible to your workspace. A private recording does not reach your CRM, so it will not appear on the deal. See Public vs Private recordings and folders.
Use the same wording as your team for your fields. Comparable answers are what make pipeline review useful for you too.
Go further with Claap
Control what happens to a shared recording. Public links can carry an expiration date, comment permissions, download permissions and a start timestamp. See Collaboration with visitors.
Organize your own meetings with Views. One View per stage, or one per account you are working, and your calls sort themselves. See Organize your Meetings with Views.
Query your calls from your own tools. See Use Claap MCP Server for advanced workflows.
