Install the Claap Chrome Extension
You can download the Claap Chrome Extension on the Chrome Web Store.
If you haven’t installed the Clapp Chrome Extension during the sign up process, you can do it anytime from the lateral bar. Simply click on the Record button and then on Record video. Then click on Install Chrome Extension and you will be automatically redirected to the Chrome Web Store.
When in the Chrome Web Store, click on the Add to Chrome button, then Agree with the Chrome permissions and click on Add extension:
Pin the extension in your Chrome bar
Once the extension is installed, you will see a reminder to pin it to your Chrome bar:
Pin it to your Chrome bar for easy access with the following steps:
Click on the puzzle piece 🧩 on the right-hand-side of the search bar
Look for Claap in the list
Click on the pin symbol 📌 to pin Claap
Grant access to your microphone and webcam
When you click on the extension for the first time, Chrome requests access to your webcam and microphone:
Click on Allow permission and grant access to your camera and microphone by clicking on Grant permission when you are prompted:
When the system popup is displayed asking for these permissions, please ensure you select Allow or Allow while visiting the site.
⚠️ Selecting Allow this time will prevent proper use of the extension in the future.
At this point you are all set to record with the Claap Chrome Extension. Just click on the Claap icon in the Chrome bar or on the Record button in your Claap workspace to launch the extension and start recording.
