Why invite guests?

Invite guests to access one or more recordings without needing to invite them to your full workspace. In addition, by inviting guests, you no longer have to share recordings and channels publicly, to enhance your confidentiality and security policies.

How to invite a guest

To invite guests to a recording or channel:

  1. Click on the Share button at the top right of the channel or recording screen.

  2. Enter the email address of the guest and click Invite.

  3. The invited guest will receive an email with a link to the channel or recording.

  4. If they don't already use Claap, they can sign up to access your shared content.

Guests permissions

Guests have limited collaborative permissions:

  • They don’t have workspace-wide access. They can only see and collaborate on the channels and recordings they have been invited to.

  • They can't create new channels or recordings.

  • They can’t edit or delete channels or recordings.

  • They can't edit workspace settings.

  • They can't see or add members to the workspace.

What guests can do:

  • They can see recordings and channels where they have been invited.

  • They can comment on these resources.

Turn guests into members

To turn a guest into a workspace member:

  1. Click on the name of your workspace in the lateral bar.

  2. Go to Workspace Settings > Members.

  3. Click on the Guests tab to list all the guests in the workspace.

  4. Click on the permission dropdown on the right of the user and click on Turn member.

  5. That person will instantly have member capabilities.

Remove guests

There are 2 options to remove a guest.

From the Share popin, you can list and remove guests having access to a specific channel or recording. Simply click on the dropdown menu next to the person you wish to remove and click on Remove.

From the Members settings, you can list and remove guests at the workspace level.
