Guests are required to sign in and when added to your topics or claaps, can collaborate with many features.
Why invite guests?
Invite guests to work on one or more claaps for long-term projects without needing to invite them to the workspace and give them access to all your topics and claaps.
If you invite guests, you no longer have to share claaps and topics publicly, to enhance your confidentiality and security policies.
Add guests
To invite guests to a claap or topic:
Click on the
Share
button at the top right of the topic or claap screen.Enter the email address of the guest and click
Invite
.The invited guest will receive an email with a link to the topic or claap.
If they don't already use Claap, they can sign up to access your page.
Guests permissions
Guests have limited collaborative permissions:
They don’t have workspace-wide access. They can only see and collaborate on the topics and claaps they have been invited in.
They can't create new topics or claaps.
They can’t edit or delete topics or claaps.
They can't edit workspace settings.
They can't see or add members to the workspace.
On the other side, they can:
They can see claaps and topics where they have been invited.
They can comment on these resources.
Turn guests into members
To turn a guest into a workspace member:
Click on the name of your workspace in the lateral bar.
Go to Workspace Settings > Members.
Click on the Guests tab to list all the guests in the workspace.
Click on the permission dropdown on the right of the user and click on Turn member.
That person will instantly have member capabilities.
Remove guests
There are 2 options to remove a guest.
From the Share
popin, you can list and remove guests having access to a specific topic or claap. Simply click on the dropdown menu next to the person you wish to remove and click on Remove
.
From the Members settings, you can list and remove guests at the workspace level.
