Fix the "You seem to be offline" error in the Claap Chrome extension

Sometimes when clicking on the Claap Chrome Extension to start a recording, you may see an "Oops, you seem to be offline" error, even though your internet connection is working fine.

Why does this happen? The Claap Chrome Extension requires permission to read and change site data in order to connect to the internet. Without it, the extension cannot start a recording.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Right-click the Claap Extension icon in the Chrome toolbar.

  2. Click [This Can Read and Change Site Data] in the menu that appears.

  3. Verify that [On All Sites] is checked. If it is not checked, select [On All Sites] to enable it.

  4. Reload the page you were on before starting the recording.
