I'm getting a "You seem to be offline" warning

Sometimes when clicking on the Chrome Extension to start a recording you may be faced with a "Oops, you seem to be offline" message, even though you are certain to be connected to the internet:

Several reasons can cause this, but one of the most common ones is due to missing permissions granted to the Claap Extension. Below are the steps to fix this.

Enable the Claap Extension on all sites

If you are seeing this warning message, please check the following settings are properly set:

  • Right-click on the Claap Extension icon in the Chrome bar

  • Click on the entry This Can Read and Change Site Data

  • Verify that On All Sites is checked

  • Reload your page
