Capture audio when recording a meeting with headphones

Record meetings with headphones without losing audio by using the correct Chrome sharing settings

👉 This problem does not happen if you record directly from Google Meet. Learn more about here.

When using headphones, you can record the internal audio of a particular browser tab by recording with the following settings:

  • Select a specific Chrome Tab

  • Make sure Share tab audio is ticked in the Chrome popin

This lets you capture audio from meeting and video apps used in this browser tab:

  • Video conferencing (Around, Whereby, Zoom, etc)

  • Webinars

  • Videos from Youtube, Vimeo, etc.

The Claap Chrome extension can’t capture the audio coming from other apps on your computer when using headphones.

Troubleshooting

You can check here if your microphone is well connected : (chrome://settings/content/microphone)

❗️ If you record your Entire screen or a Window, the sound of the meeting won’t be capture when you use headphones. It is mandatory to select a Chrome Tab.
