Overview

Claap's Google Meet integration allows you to record important calls and quickly highlight key moments. Your meeting recordings are automatically saved in your Claap workspace, so people that couldn't attend can easily access it and collaborate async, creating a knowledge base for feedback and decisions.

Key Benefits

Record your meetings in Google Meet to centralize your recordings in a single Video HQ. With Claap's Google Meet integration you can:

  • Pin key moments: Add timestamped bookmarks you can easily reference to later on.

  • Transcribe your call with AI-generated notes & highlights. Claap will transcribe it in minutes and automatically generate a summary of your meeting.

  • Collaborate with your teammates & coach. Let your teammates or coach catch up on key moments and add their feedback through video annotations, threads and video replies.

  • Search within your recordings. Access all your recordings in one central Video HQ. Easily search through your recordings. Organize your content in teams and topics. Connect it to your favorite apps.

Favorite use cases from the community include: company all-hands, user interviews, customer calls, and training sessions.

How it works

When joining a meeting on Google Meet, you will see an embedded Claap Meeting Recording button in the controls bar in the footer. This allows you to start recording this specific tab and to add one-click highlights during the meeting.

With the embedded Claap Meeting Recording button you can:

  • Access your Claap Workspace, by clicking on the Claap icon.

  • See the duration of the ongoing meeting.

  • Save, Resume, or Delete the current recording, by clicking on the Stop button.

  • Pint a moment, by clicking on the Pin button.

Start recording a meeting on Google Meet in just a few steps:

  1. Join the meeting on Google Meet.

  2. You will be prompted to launch the Claap extension to record the meeting.

  3. Click on the Claap extension. Here you have the option to change the workspace, name of recording and add it to a channel.

  4. Click on Record meeting

  5. We show a quick countdown in the toolbar.

  6. To pin a moment, simply click on the pin icon on the toolbar.

  7. When you save the meeting, we automatically open a new tab on your browser so you can access your recording. Here you will see all your pinned moments that you can edit to add comments.

Important notes:

  • The current integration does not support automatic meeting recording. You still need to click on the extension, but the process is very quick. In just two clicks you're recording.

  • You cannot annotate the video while recording, just pin moments.

  • If you hang up the Google Meet call or close the tab, the recording stops and is automatically saved in your Claap workspace.
