Overview

With Claap's calendar integration, previewing your upcoming meeting schedule, choosing which meetings to record, and accessing your corresponding meeting recordings has never been easier.

To use the features described below, you first need to connect your calendar to Claap. Check out Google Calendar integration or Outlook Calendar integration to get started.

Calendar page

Once your calendar is connected, open the Calendar page from the lateral bar:

From there you will find your upcoming scheduled meetings for the current day and next couple of weeks:

Meetings listed in the Calendar page can have different states:

  • An upcoming meeting that has not yet started will be shown as follows:

    • Simply toggle the "Record" button to automatically have this meeting recorded when it starts.

    • Click on "Add to channel" to have the recording of this meeting automatically added to the channel of your choice once ready

    • Here is an example of a meeting scheduled to be automatically recorded and added to the My weekly meetings channel:

  • A meeting which is in progress will be shown with a Join meeting link. Clicking on that link will directly open the corresponding meeting page in a new tab. If the meeting is currently being recorded, a Recording label will appear, as below:

  • A meeting which is over and has been recorded will show a View recording link, which will direct you to the corresponding recording page:

  • A meeting which has passed and was not recorded will be shown with a Not recorded label:

  • A meeting which does not have any supported meeting link will show as follows:

Recording your meeting

In order for your meeting to be recorded, you have two options:

  1. Toggle the Record button on the meeting in your Calendar page:

This will send Claap's bot recorder to that meeting when it is about to start.

  2. Join the meeting and start recording with Claap's Chrome Extension.

For help recording your Google Meet meetings with the Chrome Extension you can check the article How to record meetings in Google Meet.

Viewing your meeting recording

After your meeting ends, you can immediately access its recording from the Calendar page, by clicking on View recording on the meeting itself:

Or, access its recording from your Library, in the My meetings tab:

πŸ’‘ The My meetings tab will list all of your recorded meetings, whether you recorded them yourself or were one of the attendees in the meeting invite.

When viewing your meeting recording, you can also see information about the people who were in the meeting invite. Check the "People" field below the video player:

Hovering over that field will show you more details. You can see in the tooltip email information for each person, organization information, whether the person was an external attendee, and who was the organizer:

A meeting recording is similar to any other recording. You can share it, comment and mention people, edit or trim the video, see Speaker Insights and Views, and of course generate an AI Summary.
