Claap bot recorder default appearance

When your Claap bot recorder joins a meeting, it will appear as follows among the participants:

With Bot recorder preferences, you can customize the look & feel of your bot.

How to configure your bot recorder preferences

  1. Open you Settings by clicking on your workspace name in the lateral bar of your Claap workspace

  2. Click on Meeting preferences

  3. Click on "Bot recorder preferences"

Which bot recorder settings can be configured?

There are 3 settings you can configure regarding how your Claap bot will appear in meetings which it attends:

  • Bot recorder name:

You can change the default name which will appear as the participant in the meeting. Make sure you click on Save changes for the settings to apply.

  • Bot layout:

You can choose to enable or disable the custom participant tile containing the Claap logo. Disabling this setting means the bot recorder participant will be shown as a regular participant, usually with it initial as an avatar.

  • Meeting chat message:

You can choose to enable or disable the chat message that is sent a few seconds after the bot recorder joins the meeting. You can also modify the message itself. Make sure you click on Save changes for the settings to apply.

This is how the message will appear (here in a Google Meet example):

This message is typically used, as good practice, to automatically inform meeting participants that the meeting is being recorded. ⚠️ We strongly suggest to keep this setting to ON for that reason.
